Hosting Sievo’s Flagship Customer Conference (twice!)

In September 2024 and June 2025, I co-hosted SievoFriends — Sievo's flagship customer conference — first at home in Chicago, then across the Atlantic in Helsinki. Two audiences, dozens of cultures, and 250+ people.

SievoFriends brings together procurement and finance leaders from some of the world's largest companies for two full days of keynotes, workshops, and programming. My role was to hold it all together from the front of the room.

My co-host and I edited the event script from the top down — adding cues, transitions, and segment intros that kept energy high and the program on track. I developed skits and interactive moments that broke through the formality of a corporate conference and made the room feel alive. Between segments, I managed the rhythm of a full two-day program, anticipating what was next and keeping everything moving.

The audiences ranged from 50 to 200 people — a mix of junior contributors and C-suite executives, including Chief Procurement Officers of Fortune 100 companies. Before each conference, I reviewed tailored introductions for keynote speakers, then met with them in person to build rapport ahead of their time onstage. That groundwork made the handoffs feel seamless and gave the programming cohesion.

Hosting SievoFriends was an operational and creative challenge in equal measure — production work, live performance, and relationship management all at once. Getting it right in one city is hard. Getting it right in two cities, in two countries, a year apart, is something I'm proud of.
