I thrive on the challenges, breakthroughs, and accomplishments that come with a big project — personal and professional. In my role in software implementations, that win might look like a skeptical stakeholder finally breaking into a grin after a successful go-live, or a CFO walking into a strategic meeting armed with insights assembled by my team.

Off-duty, the rewards are just as fulfilling, if a little more tactile. It’s mastering a tricky sewing technique just in time to debut a new top on vacation, hearing from friends after I hit send on a new essay, or finally earning a compliment from my instructor on a croquis drawing after months of practice.

In both arenas: the rush of a deadline, practicing and perfecting, getting every detail right, and celebrating with a well-deserved dinner or glass of bubbly. What's better than that?
